What is Duck Sauce Jam?
Duck Sauce Jam is our annual game jam held in Glasgow, Scotland. You’ll have 48 hours to come up with an idea and build a video or board game around a specific theme that will be annouced in the opening ceremony. We aim to make this event accessible to all so don’t worry if you’ve never attended a jam before. You can check out some of the games made at this years’ jam and photos here. We also have a blog about what to expect during a game jam: Never Jammed Before?
But I can’t program, how can I make a game?
We hear this a lot when inviting people to jam. But there’s a lot more to making a game than programming. To name a few things: art/graphics, sound/music, level design, storytelling and more. Alternatively creating a physical game (e.g. board or card game) is also encouraged at the jam. Game jams are also a great place to learn as you’ll be surrounded with many people with the same goals and can learn from their experience.
